The Pig in the House Shiraz is.... excellent! It's a wine which, at first sip, does induce a raised eyebrow, a nice colour with purples and reds. Aromatically the wine is Cowra and Shiraz, with dark berry fruits of blackberry, and ripe cherries. Aromatic spices are mixed with white and black pepper and vanilla.
The palate is a well balanced, it will be appreciated by most red wine drinkers, it has primary fruit purity, and exceptional flavour density. The persistence of flavour is this wines true hallmark, where flavours linger for longer, and flavour complexity develops during this appreciable period. Basically, quite a good wine which will compliment conversation or a Bistecca alla Fiorentina, cooked naturally over live coals. Enjoy!

5 STARS - 'An oak driven shiraz with a great spicy / peppery expression on the nose and warm cola-like flavours own the classy palate that linger across the entire palate length. Soft finish.' Winestate Magazine, July 2018
"90/100 Good volume of fruit and soft tannins set this up as a great drink showing black berry and ripe black cherry with smoky BBQ oak aromas. The mid weight palate has soft tannins and medium plus length of red fruit flavour." ROB GEDDES MW, 2018
"Good perfume of meaty cherry, cabbage rose, plum halves, sauce, cloves and white pepper. Medium bodied with bright red fruit, plenty of white pepper and just the right amount of drink now tannin for food friendly purposes. Has some oily qualities at the finish, but ultimately it works. If the organic statement is what you’re aiming for, you no longer have to be an out-lier to quality." VINONOTEBOOK, Regan Drew 2017
"A modern, energetic wine with bright red fruit flavours. Vibrant redcurrant flavours, with distinct meaty undertones. Serve alongside a charcuterie platter." TONI PATERSON MW, 2017
"Maybe he’s right, for such a young wine its showing well, plenty of character all across the palate, acidity and fruit need to merge but that will come within 2017, 90 (points) now but I think another couple to come as the wine develops..." THE KEY REPORT, Tony Keys 2017
